Dear Supporter,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
WE CELEBRATE 5 YEARS OF SAFETY IN BEAUTY
What an incredible 5 years we have started to celebrate as Safety in Beauty enters a 5 year milestone this year!
It’s been a rollercoaster journey of highs and lows. When I founded the campaign in 2013, I had no idea we would grow to such epic proportions, and evolve to become the UK’s largest and only independent support resource, for members of the public seeking physical, emotional or legal support, for botched aesthetic and beauty procedures.
Since creating the campaign, we have succeeded in banning the practice of injectable aesthetic procedures being sold within British national public shows and exhibitions. We have influenced the closure of many illegal and unethical training courses in aesthetics and beauty. We have successfully reported unscrupulous and illegal activities to the legal authorities, where public safety was at risk, and as a result have been instrumental in dozens of prosecutions. We have succeeded in helping scores of victims win thousands of pounds for injury and harm inflicted upon them, and have appeared in hundreds of world wide press and news articles ‘outing’ the good, the bad and the ugly side of the industry, but most of all, we have connected a wealth of ethical, professional and caring industry members and clinics, with thousands of members of the public, who seek to avoid the cowboy practitioners, and enjoy safe beauty, aesthetic and cosmetic procedures.
Our one sole aim as a campaign, is to help educate, empower and inform the public to make safer choices when it comes to looking and feeling good. We reward the caring, compassionate and dedicated, with our now established and highly revered Diamond Awards, and we call out, and work hard to cast out, the activity that puts a hard working industry into disrepute, and the public we serve and protect at potential harm.
On behalf of the campaign I founded, I was delighted to meet the Prime MinisterTeresa May last year, together with Dr. Selena Langdon, to discuss the growing concerns of an industry that fights to protect the integrity and standards often undermined by the unscrupulous minority rogues and cowboys. We will continue to strive to influence much needed change and regulation in the U.K and echo the objectives of a united industry.
On behalf of our newly elected Expert Advisory Panel, which is this year led by our honorary Patron Mandy Luckman, we wish you all a healthy happy new year. We are excited to release details of our Grand Gala Anniversary Rooftop Party and Diamond Awards for 2019, shortly, we hope to see you in your finest, for a glamorous evening of celebration in London.
We are independent, we are dedicated, and we are proud and grateful, to have had your support for five years.
Together we are stronger..
