Plexr (Plasma) Treatment

What is a plexr treatment?

A plexr treatment is a method of tightening the skin without the need for surgery. It uses plasma energy to burn away tiny patches of skin on the creases of the excess skin causing the area to shrink up into a tighter, smoother appearance. It can be used to lift areas such as the eyelids, which can drop with age as well as treating lines and wrinkles, scars, crepey skin and areas of sagging.

Who is an ideal candidate for a plexr treatment?

A plexr treatment is used for those who are wanting to reduce signs of ageing such as hooded eyelids, those with excess skin beneath the eyes or those wanting to reduce lines and wrinkles. Whilst some marks are left behind for a few days after the treatment, there are none of the stitches that you would expect from surgery, therefore giving a much quicker recovery time. It is suitable for many different skin types but is not recommended for darker skin as there is a risk of creating pigmentation issues.

How do plexr treatments work?

During the plexr treatment, a device will be run across the skin creating tiny burns which will look like rows and rows of dots, which can start to scab after a few days. The burns come from plasma energy which is a result of ionised gases creating an electrical spark in a small area. Each of these dots causes an instant tightening of the skin, and the pattern that is created will have the overall shrinking effect. Whilst you may feel some heat from the plasma, a numbing cream will stop you feeling any pain.
