People in the hair and beauty industry – including, nail bars, tattooists and ear-piercing establishments – have been invited to a free online training event on domestic abuse next month.
The training is tailored especially for members of the industry to provide guidance on how they could potentially help a domestic abuse victim.
The course hopes to highlight the impact of domestic abuse and give attendees the opportunity to find out what can be done to support any college or client in this situation.
Domestic abuse statistic indicate that one in three women and one in six men in their lifetime, will experience some form of abuse. Domestic Abuse can impact anybody, the organisers of the venture explained they created the project to better equip beauty professionals to be able to support and signpost those affected.
This event is a collaboration between Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse and funded by the South and Vale Community Safety Partnership.
