The highly popular and prestigious Safety in Beauty Diamond Awards, is now in its third year, it is currently the only awards event dedicated to the beauty, cosmetic, aesthetic and dental industry, that recognises and rewards professionals, brands and services for their outstanding dedication and commitment to public safety, and to those who are passionately dedicated to driving forward excellent standards in the aesthetic and beauty sector.
Last year, The Safety in Beauty Diamond awards was attended by over 410 leading industry professionals, brands, media and celebrity supporters. We look forward to hosting another spectacular event on the 8th July 2017, at The prestigious 5 star luxury Langham Hotel.

Norman Waterhouse is one of the UK’s most prolific consultant plastic surgeons.
His specialty in facial surgery constituted the majority of his NHS practice. In 2005 he resigned from the NHS and is now in full time private practice, where he undertakes all forms of cosmetic surgery in addition to reconstructive and facial surgery.
Norman is an expert advisor and chair of the advisory panel for The Safety in Beauty Campaign.
He has published over fifty papers in the medical literature, and has an active research and teaching profile. He has supervised undergraduate degree courses in conjunction with the Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine.
He is frequently an invited speaker and member of expert panels on international courses and conferences on aesthetic surgery. He has served as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the British Journal of Plastic Surgery.
In 2003 he co-founded the charity Facing the World (www.facingtheworld.net) treating children from developing countries with a wide variety of congenital facial conditions. He has travelled to Sri Lanka, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Ethiopia and Nicaragua treating children with cleft lip and palate and other major facial conditions.
Norman is a volunteer with Operation Smile travelling to developing countries worldwide offering cleft lip and palate surgery to children who would not otherwise be able to access surgery.
Dr. Rita Rakus has over 20 years of Aesthetic medical experience and is a leader in 5 star medispa services, which has developed her practice into one of the largest solo non-surgical practices in the UK and the 5th largest Thermage® clinic in the world.
Dr. Rita Rakus who has been named by the media as the ‘London Lip Queen’. She has appeared in countless media and press publications and shows including: Tatler, Harper’s Bazaar, Daily Mail on Sunday, Elle, The Times, Sunday Times, New York Times, London Evening Standard, The Observer, Independent on Sunday, Sunday Mirror, Allure, Glamour, Grazia, and Hello!
Over the years, having trained in all aspects of non-surgical facial rejuvenation, Dr. Rakus has become a highly experienced practitioner in her field of Cosmetic Medicine and is a founder member and Fellow of British College of Aesthetic Medicine. Dr. Rakus is also involved in training, lecturing and setting standards for practicing doctors within this field and her name has been inaugurated on the Wall of Honour at the Royal Society of Medicine in recognition of her work.
She has an international celebrity following and regularly travels all over the world to attend seminars visit cutting edge practices to keep ahead of the latest technology in her field.
She has received many accolades and awards in acknowledgment of her outstanding achievement and leadership.
Lorna Bowes has had a keen interest in skin since her first staff nurse role in dermatology in 1987. She then specialised in medical aesthetics in the early 1990s. As well as many years of delivering medical aesthetic procedures whilst running her own skin clinic, Lorna has trained numerous doctors, nurses and dentists to administer aesthetic treatments such as fillers, toxins, dermal roller treatments and peels in the UK and Europe.
Lorna is a founder of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses, Consultant Editor to the Journal of Aesthetic Nursing and is a regular speaker at conferences such as FACE and CCR.
Her passion for skin health led her to set up Aesthetic Source, a specialist medical aesthetics distributor and training specialist with expertise in cosmeceutical skincare and skin health products that are clinically proven to promote Skin Fitness™.
Kevin is a solicitor specialising in product liability claims. Kevin acts for individuals who have been harmed by dangerous products such as medical devices, drugs and general products.
Kevin is one of five solicitors representing the interests of thousands of woman who received faulty PIP breast implants filled with industrial grade silicone and is a member of the Claimants’ Solicitors Steering Committee.
Kevin is also at the forefront of claims arising from defective metal-on-metal hip replacement. He represents individuals who have been provided with DePuy ASR and Biomet metal-on-metal total hip replacements and resurfacing implants.
Kevin has been widely interviewed on TV, in national and international papers and on national radio, raising awareness of the rights of consumers harmed by defective products.

With over 25 years’ professional aesthetic experience, Tracie Giles is a leader in Permanent Cosmetics, both here in the UK and globally. ‘Tracie Giles Bespoke Permanent Make Up’ was founded in 2003 and launched its first collection of concessions in premier spas and clinics around the area of London and internationally.
Tracie herself is recognised in the UK as a Level 4 VTCT assessor and in America as CPCP. She has appeared on ITN news discussing the ethics of Permanent Make Up on young people along with Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies. She has also appeared on reality TV. Mandy Luckman is a clinical negligence expert and leads the national Cosmetic Law team at Irwin Mitchell, where she is a partner.
Mandy has extensive experience of all forms of cosmetic interventions, including: surgical, non-surgical, cosmetic treatment abroad, product liability issues and dental negligence.
Mandy frequently appears in the press commenting on the cosmetic field and has been quoted in the Sunday Times Magazine and the Daily Mail. Mandy has also appeared on BBC 5 Live and BBC Breakfast, and worked with the Botched-Up Bodies TV show.
Mandy is a founding expert advisor of The Safety in Beauty Campaign, she is the SIB campaigns resident public legal advisor, and has to date assisted with countless cases of substandard cosmetic work providing justice and support to many victims.
Rachel Goddard is a Clinical Director and Senior Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner.at Rachel Goddard Aesthetic Clinics, She is Nurse Independent Prescriber and Trainer specialising in Medical Aesthetics for the past 11 years. She has performed thousands of non-surgical treatments nationwide and is very well respected in the industry. Last year, Rachel sailed through fierce competition to win the 2016 Safety in Beauty Campaign Diamond Award.
Rachel is one of 8 Allergan Nurse Ambassadors in the UK, and travels all over the UK training Doctors and Nurses in the administration of Medical Cosmetic treatments, She visits Europe to attend conferences and for advanced training in brand new procedures, as well as train other medical professionals too.
Rachel Goddard is also a founding member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses; She is also a member of the editorial panel of the Journal of Aesthetic Nursing and is also a Registered CPD Presenter.
Stephanie is a professional freelance writer & editor for a number of publications including: The Mirror, The Sun/OK! Nariman is an internationally renowned Makeup Artist with over 15 years experience in Fashion, Bridal, Celebrity Makeup and TV. Since graduating from The London College of Fashion, he has become truly well established. His attention to detail, professionalism and charisma are appreciated by some of the most powerful women of our time, including Dame Anna Wintour, Franca Sozzani and Hillary Clinton.
Norman is the founder of The Wright Initiative, pioneer of the 2016 award winning Safety In Beauty Campaign Diamond Award for his Pre and Post Procedure Support (PaPPS) Initiative offering bespoke Emotional, Relational and Psychological well-being support packages to patients, clients, professionals, children and their families.
Norman is a UKCP registered Integrative Psychotherapist holding a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy with over sixteen years in private practice, is a state registered Social Worker with over 20 years’ experience giving support advice and guidance to adults, children and families dealing with their social care and mental health concerns. Norman is a Senior Associate of The Royal Society of Medicine and represents the UKCP as one of the BSI CH/403 committee members helping to set standards within the industry in the UK and Europe as well as being a Medico Legal expert exploring and preparing reports concerning medical procedures and the psychological injuries sustained.
Norman is an Expert Panel Member for Consulting Room, GC Aesthetics, Safety in Beauty Campaign and Aesthetic Medicine Magazine. Norman is a Tutor on the BSc programme and advises Fostering and Adoption Agencies on numerous panels.
The Safety in Beauty Campaign would like to thank the Judges for The Safety in Beauty Diamond Awards 2017. In addition to our judging panel we also allocate a team of secret mystery shoppers and a public panel of 12 individuals, which we do not disclose.
