In this minimally invasive procedure, grafts containing hair follicles that are genetically resistant to balding are transplanted to the bald scalp. It can also be used to restore eyelashes and eyebrows, pubic hair and more.

Follicular Unit Extraction, or FUE, involves removing healthy hair follicles directly from a donor area on the scalp – usually at the back of the head where the hair is more plentiful – and grafting them onto the bald or thinning areas elsewhere.

The outline of the new hairline is visible immediately after treatment. By six to 12 months later, the transplanted hair will have re-grown fully and the bald patch or receding hairline will have disappeared. The results are permanent.
